Social Media Trends | Monday Marketing Minute by Oneupweb

Hey everyone! Welcome to this week’s edition of the Monday
Marketing Minute. This week we’re talking about the social media
trends for 2020. OK, obviously, we don’t have insider information
or a crystal ball that tells us the social media trends for 2020. Social media changes in an instant and we
can’t possibly predict where we might be headed over the next year. But that isn’t gonna stop us from trying. Here are three trends that we think you’ll
see in the next year. Trend number one: There will continue to be
an emphasis on communities. We’ve seen it with Facebook Groups. And LinkedIn Groups, too. These social platforms want to connect you
with like-minded individuals and make you feel like you’re a part of something bigger
than yourself. Trend number two: As people grow tired of
the social media overload, some platforms might fall off and it’s worth taking a look
to see where your efforts currently lie and where you can expand over the next year. For trend three, influencers and word-of-mouth
marketing will continue to rise. But, not in the way you might expect. Big influencers like celebrities are hard
to trust. So, focusing your efforts on micro-influencers
is a great way to get communities to recognize your brand. And this last one isn’t really a trend, per
se, but more something we think you should keep an eye on. TikTok has grown in popularity and it’s easy
to see why. It’s a lot like Vine, if you remember that. It’s meant for fun, creative, short-form mobile
videos. With 500 million users worldwide, it’s worth
a second thought, even if you’re just using it to showcase your personality. If you have the resources, it’s something
we think might be worth the investment. Well, that’s all the time we have for this
week. Check out our blog for more information and,
we’ll see you next time!
